The City of Richmond is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Electronics Specialist to support the Office of Strategic Communications. This hybrid role combines hands-on media support with crucial administrative and automation coordination functions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong organizational skillset a basic understanding of media production workflows and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position will directly support the Senior Public Information Manager and contribute significantly to the smooth operation of the department.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge:
Knowledge of audio/visual equipment media production workflows and basic electronics.
Familiarity with digital communications platforms and office support procedures.
Understanding of automation tools and scheduling systems.
Skills:
Skilled in setting up operating and maintaining A/V and electronic equipment.
Proficient in administrative coordination scheduling and records management.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud preferred.
Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and tools.
Commitment to accuracy professionalism and public service.
