Job Title:- Senior Specialist- MCAD/Design Automation
Location:- Bangalore
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelors degree masters degree in mechanical engineering with around 5 or 8 years of work experience respectively in CAD/CAM developed support and training.
- Experience of working as part of a global team and handling global projects is a plus.
- The incumbent must possess very strong analytical and problem-solving skills and fundamental programming knowledge in CAD/CAM.
- Broad SIEMENS NX CAD/CAM Knowledge (>4-year experience) and working knowledge of SAP-PLM is desirable.
- Fundamental metal cutting product and manufacturing processes optimization knowledge with prior exposure to tool design / application engineering / machining is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment strong interpersonal skills in interfacing with internal and external customers and leadership abilities are essential to successfully lead large projects in a matrix organization structure.
- Must have experience with software development using native C and C# .NET SQL and relational database design Visual Studio etc.
TASKS
- Should be able to handle the projects individually.
- Maintain and further develop Kennametal CAD Design automation application.
- Development of new functionality in CAD System SIEMENS NX with focus on automating product designs.
- Innovative ideas for new functionality as well as develop and maintain Engineering processes in CAD/CAM.
- Manage design automation projects and working across functional team where he or she will interface with other operating groups within Kennametal (i.e. Engineering Manufacturing)
- Work with Internal/External customers Information Technology etc. on a global basis in maintaining and developing CAD Design Applications.
- Good design understanding and able to create required CAD Designs/Drawings for automation testing purpose.
- Support CAD users on design automation.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Experience with one or more MCAD tools (Preferably NX & AutoCAD)
- Expertise in programming knowledge on C/C#/ using NX APIs
- Should have worked on BlockStyler/ WinForms UIs
- Should have worked on multithreading in C/C#
- Minimum working knowledge on PLM applications (preferably SAP ECTR)
- Good knowledge of Computer Sciences & fundamentals Data structures Algorithms Design patterns OOPS Concepts.
- Strong debugging skill.
