Employment Type: Full Time 35 hours per week
Duration: 2 Years Fixed Term
Remuneration: $100 354 per annum 17% Super Annual Leave Loading
Location: Kensington Sydney New South Wales

Why Your Role Matters:
The Project Officer plays a vital role within the Asia and Pacific Health Program providing practical and efficient support for the delivery of cervical cancer projects in Papua New Guinea. This includes coordinating project activities assisting with reporting and data analysis developing communications and supporting relationship management with key internal and external stakeholders.
The role also provides administrative support across key initiatives to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the program.
The role is within the Asia and Pacific Health Program and reports to Senior Project Officer Asia and Pacific Health Program. This position has no direct reports.
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education training and experience.
- Experience in the provision of logistical and administrative support in a similar role within a development academic medical or research environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Sound stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders including cross-cultural communication
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications including Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint). Experience in Adobe Creative applications (Photoshop Illustrator InDesign) an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent time management skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Project experience with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans objectives and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSWs aims objectives and values in action together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
