Service Writer




**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer you will be the face of our business interacting directly with customers to provide exceptional service and ensure their BMW needs are met. Your role will involve coordinating service appointments addressing customer inquiries and communicating service recommendations. You will work closely with our skilled technicians to ensure a seamless service experience for our customers.

**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner understanding their BMW service requirements.
- Schedule service appointments ensuring efficient utilization of our service bay and technician schedules.
- Act as a liaison between customers and technicians conveying vehicle issues and service recommendations accurately.
- Provide clear explanations of service options timelines and costs to customers maintaining transparency and trust.
- Generate accurate repair orders ensuring all necessary details and information are documented.
- Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicle repairs addressing any concerns promptly.
- Process payment transactions and ensure accurate billing.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized service area creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Continuously update knowledge of BMW models service techniques and industry trends to provide informed service recommendations.

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Service Writer or in a customer service role within the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail ensuring accurate documentation and order processing.
- Proficient computer skills including experience with automotive service software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Enthusiasm for BMW vehicles and a willingness to learn and stay updated on new models and technologies.

- BMW knowledge is a plus

Our History

Founded by Ned Red Dog Graham Redline Bimmer Performance has a rich history that spans several decades and is deeply rooted in a passion for BMW vehicles and exceptional service. The journey began in the mid-1960s when Ned opened a small gas station in Kalamazoo Michigan. In pursuit of his automotive dreams Ned and his family later relocated to Florida in the late 1960s. There he embarked on a unique venture as a mobile auto parts salesman known as a wagon jobber traveling from one shop to another providing essential parts to local repair shops.

In 1976 Neds entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of Redline Imported Parts an auto parts business that marked the initial steps toward what would become Redline Bimmer Performance. During this period a young Charles Rennie Bryant joined the ranks of Redline. Rennie a true BMW enthusiast who owned a 1968 BMW 1600 since high school quickly gained a reputation as the go-to guy for all things BMW in the local community. Their knowledge and passion set the stage for the next chapter.
The year 1982 witnessed the birth of Redline BMW Performance located on 15th Street in Pompano Beach Florida. With their shared expertise and a shared commitment to exceptional service the shop transformed into a fully equipped auto repair facility. Racing became a cornerstone of the shops identity and the teams fervor led to building and racing a BMW 2002 in IMSA and SCCA events. This dedication even extended to participating in both the inaugural Miami Grand Prix as well as the12 Hours of Sebring in 1983. Finishing Sebring 30th overall 11th in class and the only BMW to cross the finish line that year.
In 1994 Redline BMW Performance found its current home solidifying its position as a respected institution in the BMW community. Today Red Dogs legacy lives on as his two sons and grandson along with Rennie continue to steer the ship. With eight service bays and a team of five skilled technicians the shop combines decades of experience state-of-the-art equipment and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.

With the utmost dedication the shops mission is to provide exceptional service uphold its racing heritage and create lasting relationships within the BMW community.
