Job Description
Job Summary
Reporting to the Infrastructure & User Support Manager the IT Technical Analyst will undertake a wide range of IT Support tasks that support user-facing technology systems at Symmetry.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Responding to user tickets
- Supporting telecom and video conference systems
- Imaging and deploying computers
- Troubleshooting of network and system issues
- Onboarding new users
- Archiving terminated user data
- User training
- Performance troubleshooting
- Organizing and maintaining IT equipment storage
- Learning new systems and platforms
- Promoting good cyber security hygiene
- Other tasks required to support the IT organization
Additional Knowledge Skills and Person Characteristics
Great candidates will have a broad knowledge of end-user computing devices the Windows operating system Microsoft Office/365 network operations and networking technologies troubleshooting skills good communication and teamwork skills and a passion for excellence. Candidates should be willing to roll up their sleeves to support the day-to-day IT operations.
Education/Certification/Experience
- 3 years of experience in desktop support.
- An associates degree or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree is required.
- CompTIA A and Network certifications preferred.
Working Conditions
- Able to work indoors in an office environment with frequent deskwork will occasionally need to work with wires under a desk or table and left up to 20 lbs overhead.
- Able to demonstrate manual dexterity to operate a personal computer effectively.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment wearing multiple hats and a wide range of responsibilities across the entire technology stack.
- Able to work remotely during emergency or critical operating conditions.
