Primary Purpose:
The person in this position will provide support to campuses related to supplemental instructional services/programs for math intervention.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support campus-based math intervention.
- Respond to campus requests for assistance with students performing below expectations in math whenappropriate and teachers who instruct identified students.
- Assist with the district-wide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and StateCompensatory Education (SCE) activities both during the school year and during the summer.
- Assist with intervention activities to support students who have not met standard on stateassessments.
- Collaborate with campus-based math intervention personnel on a frequent basis.
- Support progress monitoring of students receiving intervention services.
- Meet collaboratively with campus staff to establish and implement instructional goals objectives andplan strategies designed to accelerate student academic achievement.
- Provide high quality professional learning during the school year and summer to key stakeholder groups at the campus and district levels who support at risk learners in order to improve student achievement.
- Evaluate student progress and modify instructional strategies as needed to accelerate studentperformance.
- Plan facilitate present and evaluate professional learning programs for campus-basedmath intervention.
- Assist in the selection and evaluation of appropriate instructional materials for students in assignedareas of responsibilities in conjunction with the curriculum coordinators.
- Demonstrate model-teaching strategies for working with students when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law district policy and administrativeregulations.
- Assist the Director of Intervention Programs in developing and managing budgets to supportintervention resources and services.
- Collaborate with the math curriculum coordinators to identify teaching strategies and/or resources tomeet student needs.
- Provide assistance to campuses with student identification PEIMS information after schoolprograms and summer programs.
- Support the implementation and ongoing management of online instructional resources.
- Attend program specific meetings as appropriate.
- Remain knowledgeable of best practices in education.
- Participate in local state and national professional organizations with an emphasis on mathinterventions.

Physical demands/environment factors: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of computer.
