Job Description
We are seeking a proficient DBA specializing in DB2 database administration and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing advanced database features including compression techniques partitioning and XML data management. Successful applicants will excel in scripting and automation for database maintenance and demonstrate experience with incident and change management platforms such as ServiceNow.
Tasks
The DBA will oversee the overall health and performance of the DB2 databases. Key responsibilities include:
- Administer and maintain DB2 databases to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Implement and manage advanced features such as compression and partitioning.
- Oversee XML data management and ensure data integrity.
- Utilize ServiceNow for effective incident and change management.
- Develop scripts for the automation of database maintenance tasks.
- Monitor database performance and conduct regular health checks.
Requirements
- Strong experience with DB2 database administration.
- Knowledge of advanced database features including compression and partitioning.
- Experience with XML data management.
- Familiarity with incident and change management platforms like ServiceNow.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation for database tasks.
- Fluency in English.
