Description/Job Summary
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
Schedule: Rotating Swing Shift - 4 days on 4 days off swing between days and nights 7-7
Job Summary: Operates inspects and conducts maintenance activities on equipment related to boiling and treatment of water for parboiling rice to ensure that the equipment is functioning properly is well maintained and product is within specification/requirement. Responsible for cleaning and sanitation in the Boiler Room area(s) and processing areas structures and equipment on a defined frequency using compressed air and brooms. Clean-out of tanks and equipment. Also responsible for completing and maintaining production monitoring (temperatures and treatment) inspection maintenance and sanitation records. Must be able to pass a state boiler exam after six months of training
Basic Qualifications
- Must possess basic math skills. (add subtract multiply and divide)
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Must possess computer skills (control panels probes etc. in Boiler Room)
- Must be willing to climb up to 40 feet as needed.
- Must be willing to lift up to 100 pounds as needed.
- Must be willing to bend stoop push pull twist and turn throughout the day.
- Must be willing to work in high temperatures for periods of time.
- Must be willing to work around high temperature and steam
- Must be willing to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Mut be willing to be trained to run an air compressor.
- Must pass the state boiler exam after six 6 months of training.
- Must be willing and able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Boiler experience.
