Overview
The SAP ABAP Consultant plays a pivotal role in the technical ecosystem of an organization by designing developing and implementing efficient ABAP solutions. As a vital member of the SAP team the consultant transforms business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring seamless integration with various SAP modules. This role is critical as it not only enhances operational efficiency and productivity but also contributes to agile and innovative business processes. The consultant collaborates closely with functional teams to understand user needs and develops customized applications and reports that support those needs. A deep understanding of ABAP programming and SAP technologies is paramount for ensuring the successful delivery of projects and maintaining system integrity. Additionally the consultant often takes part in testing and quality assurance processes thereby ensuring that all deliverables meet high standards of quality and performance. This position requires strong problem-solving skills a knack for critical thinking and the ability to work collaboratively within a team making it essential for organizations looking to leverage SAP technologies for competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop enhance and support SAP applications using ABAP CDS Views and AMDP.
- Design and implement RICEF (Reports Interfaces Conversions Enhancements and Forms) objects.
- Develop and optimize ODATA services for SAP Fiori applications.
- Work on SAP S/4HANA projects ensuring best practices in development.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews debugging and troubleshooting of SAP applications.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
Expertise in ODATA services CDS Views and AMDP
Experience in RICEF development
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA development methodologies
Good debugging performance tuning and problem-solving skills
