Job Summary:
The Head of Trade Marketing will lead the development and execution of trade marketing strategies aimed at driving sales growth enhancing brand visibility and strengthening relationships with key trade partners across various channels. This role requires strong leadership strategic thinking and in-depth knowledge of FMCG trade dynamics to optimize promotional effectiveness and improve market penetration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive trade marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals to maximize sales and market share.
- Lead mentor and manage the trade marketing team to ensure effective execution of trade plans.
- Collaborate closely with sales brand marketing and supply chain teams to design and execute trade promotions in-store campaigns and channel-specific initiatives.
- Analyze market trends competitor activities and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and tailor trade marketing approaches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers distributors and trade partners to enhance brand presence and drive category growth.
- Manage trade marketing budgets ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
- Monitor and report on trade marketing performance metrics and KPIs providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Oversee development of point-of-sale materials merchandising standards and in-store displays.
- Ensure compliance with trade policies and legal requirements across all marketing activities.
- Stay updated on industry best practices emerging trends and innovations in trade marketing within the FMCG sector.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in trade marketing within the FMCG industry with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of retail and distributor ecosystems trade channels and shopper behavior.
- Proven track record of successfully driving trade marketing campaigns that deliver sales growth.
- Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in market analysis and trade marketing analytics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and trade marketing software/tools.
