Position Description: The individual accepting this position will be responsible for teaching a variety of key business courses through a number of teaching preparations. The main responsibility will be teaching Personal Finance Business Communicationsm Introduction to Careers and Introduction to Business. Experience in any of these subject areas is helpful. In addition knowledge of PC computers the Windows platform including an interest in current technology (hardware and software) is also desirable. We are looking for a team player and creative individual that sees potential to grow this program over time.
Special Requirements: (Certification training specialty skills or previous experience)
1. Valid Oregon teaching license appropriate to the assignment.
2. Knowledge of social/emotional needs of high school students and ability to work well with students and peers.
3. Use of a variety of learning and instructional models.
4. Interest in being involved with the total school community.
5. Knowledge of and experience with technology and with alternative assessment strategies.
6. Personal attributes: Possession of a good sense of humor willingness to work hard demonstrated rapport with students and staff high energy level and possession of sound organizational skills and practices.
7. Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
This position is 1.0 FTE / 191 days per year.
Start date: 8/25/2025
New staff in-service will be held 8/19/2025-8/20/2025 and will be paid in addition to contract days.
