The Medical Staff Quality & Improvement Auditor develops performs and analyzes chart audits and abstraction that determine the quality of provider care. Participates in assessing and tracking clinical data for trends and quality performance. Responsible for process improvement based on abstraction to ensure overall compliance with regulatory standards. Performs focused review audits in the medical to improve medical staff compliance with evidence-based practice and regulatory guidelines. Coordinates and organizes the Medical Staff Quality Improvement Program. Prepares reports for the Medical Staff Department Meetings and Quality Committees. Responsible for the oversite of the Medical Staff Focused Professional Practice Evaluation and On-going Professional Practice Evaluation for all medical staff. Manages the Peer Review Process for the Medical Staff. Provides feedback to the Medical Staff as necessary. Handles complex issues and problems and refers complex issues to the director for assistance. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matters. Provides leadership and coaching to the Medical Staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associates degree required. Bachelors degree preferred.
Required length and type of experience:
Five (5) or more years experience as a Registered Nurse required. Performs work under minimal supervision.
Required licensure certification or registry:
Current RN license to practice in the State of Ohio.
