What Youll Do As A Program Administrator 2 with the Field Operations Unit:
Within the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Office of Field Operations provides program direction by relieving superior of a variety of difficult administrative duties pertaining to the Operation New Beginnings program:
Plans develops & organizes all major aspects activities & initiatives of the Operation New Beginnings program; Plans writes & implements program goals;
Coordinates bi-monthly meetings with mental health boards that participate in program;
Tracks data for contacts & engagements from participating agencies; Reviews & compares impaired driving recidivism rates in counties that participate in the program;
Shares relevant opportunities with participating boards;
Tracks method of outreach & compares the methods with the number of people that engage with the program to identify best practices;
Seeks out new partners in the field of behavioral health treatment for impaired driving offenders;
Participates in speaking engagements about program to outside entities; Creates presentations that are customized to the type of partners we are seeking for engagement in the program;
Conducts quarterly evaluations of the programs operational performance to ensure all agencies are engaging as many impaired driving offenders as possible;
Serves as a liaison between the mental health boards & local courts to show the value of the program;
Independently answers complex &/or confidential inquiries; Responds to programmatic issues or needs of leadership staff or external stakeholders;
Formulates & implements program policy & operational procedures (e.g. re-search develop & implement new policies procedures & best practices; communicate policy updates to all stakeholders; provide technical advice to aid director in decision making);

4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
Option 2
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration management science or public administration;
AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory administrative &/or managerial position.
Option 3
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file - Operation New Beginnings;
AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning research &/or policy/procedure development.
Option 4
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1 63122.
