Job Title: Employee Benefits Producer
Location: Mountain Lake NJ
Schedule: Full-time In-Office (5 Days/Week)
Compensation: Flexible Commission Structure Base (Negotiable Based on Commission Preference)
Overview:
A growing independent insurance agency based in Mountain Lake NJ is looking to hire a results-driven Employee Benefits Producer to expand its footprint in the group benefits space. This role focuses on selling and managing group insurance plansincluding medical dental vision life and ancillary benefitsto small and mid-sized businesses. While five days in-office are expected client meetings always take precedence and may override office attendance as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect and generate new business opportunities for group benefit plans.
Conduct thorough needs analysis to design customized employee benefits packages.
Present and explain benefit options clearly to business owners HR professionals and decision-makers.
Build and maintain long-term client relationships providing ongoing service and strategic renewal planning.
Collaborate with internal account management and carrier partners to ensure smooth onboarding and policy servicing.
Stay current on carrier offerings compliance regulations and industry trends.
Lines of Business:
Group Medical Insurance (Fully Insured & Level-Funded)
Group Dental and Vision
Group Life and Disability (STD/LTD)
Voluntary and Ancillary Benefits (e.g. Accident Critical Illness FSA/HSA)
Compensation:
Flexible commission structure based on producer preference.
Base salary will be customized based on chosen commission model.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in employee benefits sales or group insurance consulting.
Active Life & Health license in New Jersey (or ability to obtain quickly).
Proven ability to close new business and manage renewals independently.
Strong presentation and consultative selling skills.
Organized proactive and capable of managing multiple accounts and deadlines.
