JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
A Finance Officer manages individual transactions throughout the funding process. These transactions start as prospective purchases and are classified as finalized upon receipt of funds from either the customer or a financial institution. The Finance Officer is also responsible for various other tasks that may be associated with each individual deal.
Essential Functions
- The Finance Officer is responsible for overseeing State Federal and store compliance on all sales.
- The Finance Officer will verify that the deal structure is in line with the bank call and that the approval selected maximizes both front and back end grosses.
- The Finance Officer will build print sign and fund all sales. They will be responsible for keeping CIT times to a minimum and will track funding delays through CUDL & DealerTrack. The Finance Officer is expected to know how and when to E-contract a customer.
- To meet store expectation by having deals Booked within 72 hours and any funding delay that reaches 15 days must be turned over to the Finance Director.
- The Finance Officer will utilize Subarunet to report all New car sales to Subaru of America.
- The Finance Officer is responsible for entering in all products into the various online vendor portals for activation.
- The Finance Officer is responsible for knowing DMV compliance timelines for both New and Used units.
- The Finance Department is the point of contact (POC) for anything financial related AFTER a sale has taken place. This includes:
- Reimbursements
- Cancellations
- Aftermarket Warranty sales
- The Finance Officer is expected to understand the various bank programs from our contracted lenders.
- The Finance Officer is expected to be an expert utilizing Subaru of Americas online portal Subarunet.
- The Finance Department assists our acquisition team in purchasing inventory through our appraisal lane.
- The Finance Officer is expected to have basic title knowledge for their STATE.
- The opening Finance Officer is responsible for managing the Dead Deals file.
- The closing Finance Officer is responsible for managing the sales and performance logs. As well as reporting the daily sales to the Findlay Group.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Cultivate a culture that prioritizes the customer experience in all aspects of our retail automotive sales environment.
- Assist the sales team in providing customers with extraordinary service to achieve customer retention customer satisfaction and owner loyalty (OLP).
- Identifies recommends and supports opportunities for methods/process improvement.
- Presents self as a positive role model by demonstrating commitment to other staff customers retailer and company.
- Departs from traditional ways of doing things to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Shifts priorities and goals as work demands change.
- Analyzes all available information to ensure proper resolution of problems; makes and implements decisions to accomplish goals and meet deadlines.

Finally while every Finance Officer is expected to work their individual deals they are also expected to work collectively to achieve team goals.

Work Environment
Maintain a neat and clean work/office space and professional work areas.
Maintain and monitor a vigilant process to protect the privacy of customers non-public information at all times.
This position requires working inside and outside the building as needed. The temperature can fluctuate significantly as some areas are not environmentally controlled.
Working in an automotive retail/service environment will likely expose you to automotive exhaust gasses and fumes which may be harmful to your health.

- While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit stand walk drive talk write type and hear.
- Employees must have the ability to communicate orally with customers vendors management and coworkers.
- Regular use of the telephone and computer for voice and email communication is essential.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges (with or without corrective measures as needed) is required for standard essential duties.
- As use of a computer is essential to this role duties may require sitting for extended periods.
- This position requires the ability to lift office products and supplies on occasion of up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time onsite position. Standard days and hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Overtime may be requested periodically if needs necessitate with notice when able. Managers alternate schedules and work an average of 40 50 hours per week.
Travel
Local travel to various worksites is required on a daily basis. Although rare some overnight out-of-state travel is required as training or service requests mandate.
Required Education and Experience
- A valid Nevada Drivers License and Automobile Insurance in good standing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Continuing education learning and training will be required.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Outlook Word and Excel in particular are necessary in this role.
