You will work with a highly collaborative team of imaging scientists software developers and scientists in medicine and biology to solve image and data analysis problems in the field of Digital Pathology. Performs research and development activities for technology assessment internal project collaborations and commercial medical devices independently and as technical lead of project groups. Devises technology and advances the teams method portfolio in the field of image processing machine learning pattern recognition and data mining.
The Opportunity
Designs and implements innovative algorithms to analyze histopathology images and data either independently or as a technical lead of a project team.
Develops analysis algorithms and software platforms for prototyping and commercial product development.
Optimizes algorithms and platforms for efficiency accuracy performance and scalability.
Collaborates with and leads project team members to achieve defined scientific and technical goals.
Interacts with multidisciplinary stakeholders including pathologists biochemists instrumentation engineers software engineers and marketing representatives.
Organizes and tracks project requirements deliveries and timelines.
Keeps up-to-date with technological advances the competitive landscape and training requirements in the medical device industry.
Who you are
You hold a Masters degree in computer science biomedical engineering or related field; PhD preferred.
You have 5 years of industry R&D experience with software development for image or data analysis algorithms.
You have a proven track record of technical leadership and delivering innovative analysis and software solutions.
You have a proven track record of publications and intellectual property generation.
You have experience in design and development projects for medical devices specifically in biomedical image data analysis.
You have an excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to review and evaluate writing in a multidisciplinary environment.
You have an expertise in deep learning models and frameworks and strong knowledge of image analysis pattern recognition machine learning computer vision data mining methods and software architecture for scalable high-performance systems.
