Job Description

The School-Based Health Services Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of school-based health services including primary care dental and behavioral health programs delivered within school settings. This role supports program delivery supervises staff manages operational workflows and ensures alignment with organizational goals regulatory requirements and grant-funded initiatives. The Administrator serves as a liaison to internal teams and external partners to support access quality and integration of school-based health services.


Essential Job Duties:

Program Operations & Implementation

  • Oversee the daily administrative functions of school-based health centers (SBHCs) ensuring smooth delivery of primary care dental and behavioral health services.
  • Coordinate the implementation of operational policies procedures and workflows that promote efficiency and client-centered care.
  • Support organizational priorities and quality improvement efforts across all SBHC sites.

Staff Supervision & Team Support

  • Supervise and support SBHC site staff including administrative and non-clinical personnel.
  • Provide coaching performance feedback and professional development support to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to foster integration and coordination across disciplines.

Grant and Program Management

  • Monitor progress on grant-funded initiatives and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Track program performance data and contribute to internal reporting and funder updates.
  • Collaborate with finance development and compliance teams to maintain program sustainability and accountability.

Stakeholder and School Engagement

  • Serve as a key point of contact for school administrators community partners and public agencies.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships to support integrated service delivery and positive school-community engagement.

Quality and Compliance

  • Work with clinical leads to ensure services are trauma-informed culturally responsive and developmentally appropriate.
  • Participate in audits quality improvement efforts and operational reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA HIPAA HRSA and other applicable standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare or school-based health setting with demonstrated success in program coordination and staff supervision.
  • Experience in at least three (3) of the following areas is preferred:
  • Primary Care Operations
  • Dental Program Management
  • Behavioral Health Services
  • School-Based Health Centers
  • Previous grants management and compliance experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational project management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to health equity youth well-being and inclusive service delivery.
