Community Access Services is seeking a passionate and motivated Employment Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in finding and maintaining meaningful competitive employment. Key Responsibilities of an Employment Specialist:
- Support individuals in identifying their employment interests strengths and goals
- Assist with job development activities including resume building interview preparation and job applications
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and employers
- Provide on-the-job coaching and support to help individuals succeed in their roles
- Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed
- Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and reasonable accommodations with employers.
- Prior experience in supported employment job coaching or working with individuals with disabilities
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid drivers license reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass a national background check
- Competitive pay: $22.75$24.75/hour depending on experience
