Position Details
Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT
Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program) provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SANT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.
About the Role
The Associate Professor will provide academic leadership in Rural and Remote Health within the College. They will contribute to teaching in programs such as Remote Health Practice Medicine Paramedicine and professional development including developing materials delivering lectures and supporting student placements. The role may extend to other College programs as needed.
The incumbent will lead high-quality research secure competitive funding publish in reputable journals supervise research students and mentor early-career researchers. They will also help align programs with the Flinders Rural & Remote Health Strategy and the RHMT program fostering collaboration across disciplines and with external stakeholders. Additionally they will oversee research support and casual teaching staff ensuring effective workflow and compliance with University standards.
