Job Description
Position Summary:
The Sales Engineering Drafter position is responsible for creating precise system layouts process flow diagrams P&IDs and stack-ups in 2D and 3D for pneumatic conveying systems primarily within the food health and nutrition sectors. This role requires advanced CAD skills a strong understanding of flow dynamics and system components and the ability to interpret engineering specifications to produce detailed technical drawings and documentation.
Work Youll Do:
- Quickly interpret engineering specifications and translate them into detailed CAD drawings for pneumatic conveying systems piping valves and filtration units.
- Utilize advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor to create precise layouts process flow diagrams and system stack-ups.
- Create and update block diagrams based on released engineering drawings ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in technical reviews and conduct quality checks of technical documentation and drawings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop system layouts and ensure design specifications are met.
- Support engineering and design teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements quality standards and industry regulations.
Team:
This position will be part of the engineering and technical documentation team supporting project development and quality assurance initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in AutoCAD Inventor or other CAD software
- Proven experience in drafting pneumatic conveying systems piping and system components
- Strong understanding of flow dynamics system components and installation procedures
- Ability to interpret engineering specifications and convert them into detailed drawings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Attention to detail and quality assurance in technical documentation
- Motivated resilient enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude and a focus on technical accuracy
Education/Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Drafting CAD Design or a related field or 5 years of related drafting experience
- Deep technical and mechanical aptitude for understanding product functionality and use
- Experience producing detailed CAD drawings for pneumatic conveying systems including pipelines blowers valves and filtration units
- Ability to create and update block diagrams based on engineering releases and support technical reviews
