Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensures availability of ride show and special effects spare parts in the park.
- Ensures all quality required documentation is received from suppliers filed correctly and meets company and drawing specifications.
- Responds and resolves issues that affect the quality of attraction equipment in a timely manner. Ensures work is performed correctly and follows all approved procedures
- Uses a wide variety of inspection instruments to verify compliance of spare parts and assemblies.
- Understands common sources of error that produce inaccurate measurement results.
- Writes detailed nonconformance reports.
- Verifies accuracy and precision of inspection results before escalating for engineering disposition.
- Competently uses a variety of office-related software applications on a day-to-day basis.
- Communicates accurately and in a timely manner matters which impact operational status/readiness of attractions to the foreperson gang boss or management
- Displays tact and diplomacy in communications with a variety stakeholders including engineers technicians managers and leadership.
- Supports requests of all operating groups/departments within USH in a timely and professional manner
- Inspect skilled machining and processing of precision parts fabricated on lathes milling machines shapers drills and related equipment
- Maintains instruments and equipment in safe operating order. Makes repairs as appropriate or recommends when vendors should be contacted for servicing
- Places special orders for materials and tools based on work orders
- Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures and company safety requirements.
- Tracks and reports labor and work notes in work order transactions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Associates degree (AA) from a two-year college/technical school in applicable discipline(s) or equivalent experience desired.
- Ability & willingness to work a variety of schedules overtime weekends and holidays with short notice
- Ability and willingness to respond to incidents in locations requiring climbing fall-protection and other non- traditional work-environments.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written on a technical level
- Able to work independently
- Requires moderate to heavy physical exertion
Desired Characteristics/Skills:
ASQ certified quality inspector preferred or desire to obtain a CQI certification.
Weld inspection or fabrication experienced highly desirable.
Non-destructive testing experience or interest in training preferred.
Pay rate starting at $31.83 per hour.
