PSG are working exclusively with a well-established Local Government organisation based South of the River. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Rates Officer to join a supportive community-focused team offering flexibility and long-term career stability.

Role Requirements

  • Previous experience in rates revenue or property services within local government
  • Proficient in TechOne (TechnologyOne) or similar local government systems
  • Strong understanding of rating legislation processes and council policies
  • High level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
  • Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Rates Administration:

  • Maintain and update the property and rates database using TechOne
  • Process rates notices valuations adjustments and supplementary levies
  • Administer pensioner and senior rebates deferred rates and payment arrangements
  • Assist with reconciliations and reporting for end-of-month and end-of-year processes
  • Ensure compliance with the Local Government Act and relevant regulations
