Full Stack Cloud Developer
This is a remote role but you are welcome to join us in the Munich office
Tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AWS serverless solutions that power both frontend and backend components ensuring scalability security and reliability
- Lead the development of responsive user-centric web applications using (or a comparable JavaScript framework) and TypeScript
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs in (TypeScript) and Python leveraging AWS Lambda AWS Fargate API Gateway DynamoDB and other serverless technologies
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using AWS CDK or Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources
- Ensure cloud security best practices by configuring IAM policies encryption and compliance controls
- Optimize application performance and cost-efficiency through monitoring logging and tuning of AWS services
- Maintain clear up-to-date documentation of architecture configurations and deployment procedures
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and collaborate closely with UX/UI designers and product managers to deliver high-quality features on schedule
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the full stack from frontend behavior to backend performance and availability
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development with a strong emphasis on frontend engineering
- Expertise in (or a similar modern JavaScript framework) and TypeScript
- Proficiency in backend development using (TypeScript) and Python
- Experience designing and deploying AWS serverless architectures (Lambda Fargate API Gateway DynamoDB S3 etc.)
- Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (CloudFormation AWS CDK or Terraform)
- Familiarity with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong grasp of cloud security principles networking and compliance standards
- AWS certification (Developer or DevOps Engineer) is a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with Mobile App development
- Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks (Jest Cypress) and automated end-to-end testing
- Knowledge of design systems accessibility and performance optimization techniques
- Experience with GraphQL WebSockets or real-time data streaming
- Previous exposure to mobile web frameworks (e.g. Ionic Quasar)
