Job Description
NextLink is having an existing position as an Scrum Master in Brussels area Belgium.
General information:
- Start date: 01/07/2025
- Duration: 01/07/2026
- Workload: full time 50% on site & 50% homeworking
- Work location: Brussels area Belgium (Will require regularly to attend meetings in Paris)
Within the tribe Agile Production Services (APS) the APS Channels squad is responsible for supporting and maintaining the infrastructure and solutions based on Websphere and Cloud services within our scope. It deals with the ordering of all infrastructural components as well as maintaining it. Deploying new or updated applications on these Websphere or Cloud components is a big part of the our daily workings.
Client is looking for a Scrum Master to enforce the APS Channels squad.
Your tasks are:
- set up and facilitate the Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up Sprint Review Sprint Planning Retrospective) and other meetings
- schedule and follow the key steps of the methodology
- guarantee a smooth use of the Scrum methodology and help the squad face any obstacles
- support the members of the squad in her/his work by facilitating a healthy dynamic within the squad paying special attention to respect priorities and scope.
- leads the squads efforts towards continuous improvement.
- removes barriers or helps the squad remove barriers(contact with the right people). The Scrum Master solves the problems proactively so that the squad can stay focused on their goals.
- assist and support the team in the delivery of the Definition of Done (DoD) Sprint Backlog etc.
- communicates with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and information. She/he also protects the squad from influxes unexpected work costs.
- track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
Agile teams are cross-functional. All required disciplines are represented in the team (analysis development testing ). However although team members have a primary role representing a discipline they are expected to take on other roles and contribute to other disciplines whenever it helps towards reaching the sprint goal.
Profile:
- You have a Bachelor or a Master in Computer Sciences or equivalent
- Fluent in English French and dutch are bonus
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar function
- A professional experience of at least 5 years
- Knowledge of agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g. Rally Jira)
- Expert knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g. Scrum Kanban)
Bonus :
- Experience with an infrastructure environment is welcome
- Experience in banking
