- Working Hours: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm School working hours from Monday to Friday
- Student Age Group:Elementary (K-5th grade)
Responsibilities: School Psychologist - Collaborate with staff at both the district and school level to make decisions regarding early intervention and prevention of learning difficulties.
- Consult with teachers teams and parents to design appropriate academic and behavioral instruction and intervention plans.
- Administer appropriate evaluation and assessment tools including psychological instruments to identify specific student needs and make recommendations directly linked to classroom instruction.
- Collaborate with teachers related services colleagues and other educators to provide instruction and other services directly to students.
- Collaborate with teachers and related services colleagues to implement academic and behavioral interventions that are appropriate to the developmental needs of the student.
- Provide leadership in facilitating the IEP 504 and problem-solving processes.
- Plan for and support the programming and services within the school and district.
- Promote practices that support creative problem-solving throughout the school.
- Collaborate with district and school administrators to establish and maintain clear procedures for problem-solving.
- Consult with teachers administrators and other school staff to improve student learning outcomes.
- Assess student needs through the IEP 504 and problem-solving process.
- Plan evaluate or support student progress in interventions.
- Collaborate with staff to compile analyze and communicate student data.
- Communicate with families through evaluation and/or problem-solving processes.
- Collaborate with administrators and social workers to provide crisis support and intervention.
- Produce well-written clear and thorough reports.
Qualifications: School Psychologist - Illinois Professional Educator License with School Psychologist Endorsement required.
- Ability to evaluate students that are non-verbal or non-vocal
