Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Representative to drive business growth within the mining industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities managing existing client relationships and promoting our products to meet sales targets. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of the mining sector and the ability to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the mining industry through various channels including cold calling networking and lead generation.
- Build and maintain strong long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at mining companies.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions based on our product and service offerings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations proposals and quotations.
Negotiate contracts and close sales agreements to achieve and exceed sales targets. - Provide ongoing support and account management to existing clients ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Stay informed about industry trends market activities and competitor offerings to identify potential opportunities and challenges. - Collaborate closely with internal teams including technical support and marketing to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities customer interactions and sales forecasts.
- Actively participate in industry events conferences and trade shows to network and promote the companys products and services.
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying and implementing strategies to improve sales performance and market penetration.
- Be willing and able to travel extensively within the designated territory to meet with clients and attend industry-related events.
Requirements
Qualifications
- National Diploma in one of the following fields (for example Sales Marketing Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering)
- A Bachelor of Science degree or relevant industry experience would be advantageous.
Preferred Experience
- Proven track record in sales with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience selling products or services to the mining industry.
