Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Identify and track policy activity across the country
- Monitor political and legislative developments in key local jurisdictions
- Provide logistical support for public affairs and political engagement on the Universal Lot
- Support the Government Affairs teams efforts around upcoming mega events for NBCUniversal
- Operational support to the LA team
- Assist with team projects and research as needed
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors degree
- 1 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelors degree in Political Science Government Public Affairs English related field or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated familiarity with the legislative process
- Outstanding writing skills and to distill complex policy issues into simple explanations and compelling messages
- Solid project management analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team managing multiple projects and priorities effectively
This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the LA office a minimum of three days per week
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits including medical dental and vision insurance 401(k) paid leave tuition reimbursement and a variety of other discounts and perks.
