Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Yard and Warehouse Operations Specialist to support daily operations in our Stainless Steel Division. This hands-on role involves overseeing material flow in the yard and warehouse maintaining equipment and cleanliness and ensuring safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is reliable safety-focused and experienced in industrial or recycling environments.
What youre responsible for:
- Safely operating forklifts skid steers and other equipment to move and organize stainless steel materials
- Sorting grading and identifying stainless steel and specialty alloys according to company standards
- Loading and unloading trucks with accuracy and efficiency
- Maintaining the yard and warehouse layout to ensure a clean organized and safe environment
- Assisting with inventory control and tagging of materials
- Conducting daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Collaborating with supervisors scale house and logistics teams to meet daily operational goals
- Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies at all times
Qualifications :
To join our team:
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent required
- You have 2 years of experience in a yard warehouse or industrial operations environment
- You have experience handling stainless steel or scrap metals is a strong asset
- You have a forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) required
- You have the ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- You have strong organizational and communication skills
- You have a proactive team-oriented attitude with a focus on safety and efficiency
