We are working with our client who is seeking an experienced fresh food Supermarket Manager to join here as the Assistant Manager which will take the lead as no 2 in the store but specifically control the Fresh Food side of this store.

Package & Benefits
Salary: 45000 - 50000 Neg DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing in a busy supermarket store with over 50 employees particularly having responsibility for the fresh food departments to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain high standards of food safety hygiene and sanitation in compliance with health regulations.
- Oversee product quality freshness and proper rotation to minimise waste and drive margin.
- Support chargehands department heads in ordering and controlling inventory management to ensure stock levels meet customer demand without excess.
- Train supervise and support department managers staff fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee merchandising for fresh foods ensuring displays are attractive appropriate planned and executed professionally
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries concerns and special requests.
- Collaborate with the Fresh Food management teams to plan promotions and drive sales initiatives.
- Using EPOS and other data available to monitor and analyse sales trends to optimise inventory and merchandising strategies.
- Work closely with your suppliers and trading partners to get the best equipment infrastructure produce and ensure all areas of fresh foods are compliant and in good working condition.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in fresh food departments ideally a busy supermarket retail business or food retail shop environment.
- At least 3 years management experience responsible for multiple departments teams under you.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and handling procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment high pressured to deliver on deadlines budgets and other regulatory requirements
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and sales tracking.
