Job Description

Inspect and Patrol Xcel Energys Transmission system and facilities support Transmission Construction and Maintenance and all other essential functions of maintaining a reliable Transmission System. Coordinate clearances material etc. Must be able to travel and work closely with the local supervisors. Assist crews when necessary dealing with company procedures transmission standards hot lines/one shots repairs etc.
Minimum Requirements
Must have high school education or equivalent.
Must successfully passtheJourneyman Lineman written & practical exam
Must have successfully completed a qualified apprenticeship program and reached the journeyman level as a lineman and have a good working knowledge of transmission construction maintenance and operational methods.
Must have the skills and knowledge of the Transmission Standards and required materials.
Must have knowledge of safe switching operations of transmission and distributions facilities.
Must possess an unencumbered Class (A) Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and current DOT medical card.
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle in rough terrain.
Must be available for emergency callouts.
Must be able to set a schedule and be self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.
Must have moderate computer skills and operate an MDT.
Extensive out of town work .
