Job Description

Experience & Other Requirements: Three years jig boring or related experience. This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder) Political Asylee or Refugee. Work Performed:

Sets up and operates Jig Borer and Boring Mills using care in lining up and clamping work to avoid distortions. Works from complicated drawings for making production parts R&D and/or first-run parts on designed fixtures or with open setup. Precision bores faces counterbores and back spotfaces parts. Checks parts with dial indicators micrometers and precision measuring instruments ensuring that the required close tolerances are held. Must have working knowledge of shop math to triangulate make layouts and locate holes to be bored and calculate angles for setting precision equipment. Is required to operate a jig borer on diverse parts and materials. Tools & Equipment Used: Various makes of jig borers horizontal boring mills machinists hand tools and a variety of precision measuring instruments.
