WHATS THE OPPORTUNITY
This isnt just a traineeship; its your first step into the vibrant world of horticulture! Youll gain hands-on experience learning the art and science of plant care sustainable practices and creating beautiful green spaces.
QUALIFICATION: Nationally Recognised AHC20422 - Certificate II in Horticulture TRAINING PROVIDER: South Metropolitan TAFE Murdoch Campus COMMITMENT: Just 1 day per week dedicated to your TAFE studies (flexible depending on employer and school availability) with the rest of your time spent learning on the job!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HORTICULTURE TRAINEE:
Every day brings new growth and learning! You could be: Nurturing young plants and mastering propagation techniques. Learning about soil health and preparing garden beds for planting. Planting a diverse range of trees shrubs flowers and edibles. Pruning weeding and maintaining plant health. Identifying common pests and diseases and learning environmentally friendly solutions. Assisting with watering systems and conservation practices. Working with a variety of horticultural tools and equipment. Collaborating with experienced professionals in the field. Enjoying the fresh air and satisfaction of transforming landscapes!
SKILLS & QUALITIES WERE LOOKING FOR:
A genuine interest in plants and gardening. Enthusiasm to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Practical and hands-on approach to learning. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail every leaf matters! A reliable and committed attitude. Problem-solving abilities to tackle horticultural challenges.
