Familiarity with PCB control board verification and testing is desirable.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Able to read and understand technical specifications wiring diagrams and schematics of systems/subsystems to understand and determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
Tests functional performance of systems subsystems and components under specified electrical conditions such as voltage power temperature and load.
Connects system/subsystem unit to be tested to equipment such as signal generator frequency meter DC/AC power supply and oscilloscope.
Reads dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage frequency distortion inductance and capacitance.
Compares results with specifications and records test data or plots test results on graph.
Analyzes test results on test units to determine cause of malfunction.
Confers with engineers technicians and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve issues.
Familiarity with IGBT/MOSFET based Inverter power circuit desirable.
Lead Acid Battery knowledge is desirable.
Able to conduct UL required test on Inverter unit.
Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 2 yrs technical training / experience (i.e. trade school military or other employment in electronics/electrical field).
Skilled at using Microsoft Words and Excels.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
