Love working in the great outdoors Were seeking a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our customer focused team. In this role youll be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of communal outdoor areas ensuring they are safe clean and visually appealing for our customers. Contractually based out of Basingstoke youll cover Basingstoke and the surrounding North Hampshire area. This is afull-time permanent role working39 hoursper week!

Heres the facts about the role:

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative youll carry out a high standard of groundswork to make our communal grounds areas attractive for customers. Youll have good communication skills and the ability to interact with residents and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Youll have goodknowledgeand experience in this field with skills to operate a variety of equipment machines and materials that youll use on a daily basis.

Duties will include:

  • Routine grounds maintenance tasks such as grass/hedge cutting trimming and weeding
  • Hard area maintenance and low-level tree work as well as soft landscaping
  • Shrub maintenance
  • Ensuring communal areas are free from litter and debris.
  • Perform regular inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards
  • Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal
  • Operating grounds maintenance equipment and tools
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and from residents


We do our best to make reasonable adjustments wherever possible. However due to the nature of this position the job holder must be capable of:

  • Working at heights
  • Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
  • A high degree of mobility which will include walking/lifting/loading and unloading vehicles

Offers are subject to a full clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) to be able to drive one of our vans when needed.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
