Property Experience Preferred- Full time. Office based
Our client is a well-established firm of accountants with a large and varied client base.
One of their key clients is expanding and now requires a full-time on-site bookkeeper.
The work requires an experienced bookkeeper from either a firm of accountants or a commercial company.
There are volume property and construction-related transactions so experience in this field is preferred.
UK Work permit and VISA required. No sponsorship available.
Requirements
- Ideally experience in Property Management and real estate accounts
- Experience managing books for property-related transactions
- Ensure accurate financial records timely reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties and entities
- Process accounts payable and receivable including rent collection and vendor payments
- Reconcile bank accounts credit cards and trust accounts
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports
- Track income and expenses by property or unit
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Prepare and submit BAS GST and other statutory obligations (if applicable)
- Coordinate with property managers regarding lease agreements rent rolls and tenant issues.
- Manage petty cash payroll processing and employee reimbursements
- Ensure compliance with relevant real estate and financial regulations
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors
Your background should show
Proven experience as a bookkeeper preferably in the property or real estate sector
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero MYOB QuickBooks or property-specific systems like PropertyMe Console Cloud or Buildium)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate IV in Bookkeeping Accounting or a related field
Experience with property trust accounting and tenant ledger management.
Understanding of lease structures and property management terms
Familiarity with local real estate laws and compliance requirements
