Job Description
Job Title: PC Operations Manager
Role Purpose:
To lead the execution of the PC (Production Centre) manufacturing tactical plan in alignment with the broader factory strategy. The role will drive performance by coaching and developing the production team comprising Production Engineers Shift Managers and Operators to deliver daily weekly monthly and annual targets while ensuring compliance with:
- Occupational Health & Safety & Environment Instill and coach the team to adhere to statutory and corporate standards while performing all tasks.
- Quality compliance Lead and instill behaviors and compliance to deliver zero defects of all goods manufactured at the PC.
- Service & Cost lead the continuous learning and use of Manufacturing Excellence principles to deliver perfect service at optimized cost.
Key Responsibilities: Operations & Production
- Coach and develop the manufacturing team to meet daily weekly monthly and annual production targets.
- Partner with the Safety Manager to enforce and maintain a zero-incident SHE culture.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager to drive Right-First-Time and zero-defect manufacturing.
- Lead initiatives to embed a lean culture focused on service delivery and cost optimization.
- Drive holistic inputs into the launch and relaunch of products.
- Use Autonomous Maintenance (AM) principles to ensure high plant availability via robust early management plans.
- Lead and support Kaizen-based Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Contribute to the overall PC strategic development.
Sustainability & Continuous Improvement
Develop and institutionalize structures for continuous improvement using standard CI tools across operations and technical functions.
Define and implement the PC s sustainability agenda in alignment with global commitments and targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in a science-based discipline preferably Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment ideally within FMCG.
- Proven track record in Production and Utilities Management.
- Demonstrated passion for Manufacturing Excellence as a standard practice.
- Strong integrity and ability to manage confidential matters.
- High emotional and professional intelligence with strong tactical planning prioritization and execution capabilities.
- In-depth understanding of cross-functional dynamics in a multinational organization.
- Strong grasp of brand protection principles and their relevance in operations.
- Excellent active listening and communication skills.
- Proficiency in manufacturing operations and business reporting tools.
Key Interfaces:
- All PC personnel (internal and outsourced)
- External stakeholders including government officials and suppliers maintaining a high level of integrity.
- Local Business Leadership Team members
- PC Leadership Team (at Country Unit Market Unit and Regional levels)
- Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for PC-installed equipment
