Job Description
He aha te tranga - About the role:
The Community Transport Manager is responsible for implementation of our Health Shuttle strategy throughout Te Waipounamu/South Island including:
- Service delivery new service expansions and standard improvements
- Developing and nurturing relationships with local iwi and community groups
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support the implementation of Maori community health transport initiatives
- Providing leadership and support to assigned services
- Contributing to the development implementation and monitoring of annual budgets
Based in either Christchurch or Timaru youll travel throughout the South Island to engage with and support each of your 15 services. This will combine both self-driven commutes and flights. The area covered does not include Nelson/Blenheim or Motueka.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in managing motivating and engaging teams
- Demonstrated passion for community engagement and volunteer collaboration
- Strong personal drive enthusiasm and initiative
- Resilient positive and adaptable with a flexible and results focused attitude
- Strong relationship building skills including with community groups iwi and internal/external stakeholders
