- Designing and executing audit procedures: Based on the clients business risks and internal controls
- Auditing financial statements transactions and internal controls: Using analytical skills to audit a clients financial statements transactions and internal controls
- Creating audit reports: Creating audit reports on the quality of a companys products and services
- Initiating corrective action: Initiating and monitoring corrective action if there are any quality problems
- Identifying and documenting risks: Identifying and documenting risks issues and conclusions
- Escalating risks: Escalating risks and issues that are beyond the professionals experience or skill set
- Keeping senior team members informed: Keeping senior team members informed of significant developments and progress
- Providing guidance: Providing guidance and coaching to team members
Audit assurance professionals can work for a variety of employers including international corporations public-sector organizations and local accounting firms.
