As a Program Director youll play a pivotal role in providing progressive and goal-oriented supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in the community. Youll have the opportunity to lead with compassion creativity and dedication ensuring that our programs meet the unique needs of each individual.
What Youll Do:
- Lead a team of Direct Support Professionals in delivering active engaging and meaningful supports
- Oversee all operations of the Fairfield Day Program including staffing budgeting safety and community engagement
- Help design develop and implement daily workshop-style activities that promote independence creativity and life skills
- Ensure services are aligned with person-centered planning and behavioral support best practices
- Develop and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) tailored to the unique goals of each individual served
- Oversee the implementation and fidelity of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Provide on-the-ground leadership during behavioral crises ensuring de-escalation strategies and safety protocols are followed
- Collaborate with behavior analysts psychologists and medical professionals to monitor and adjust behavioral interventions
- Maintain compliance with Title 17 Title 22 and all Dungarvin policies and procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individuals families guardians service coordinators and licensing and regulatory partners
- Be an active visible leader who supports staff models quality interactions and helps cultivate a positive and accountable team culture
- Navigate complex behavioral and forensic dynamics with professionalism clarity and a calm presence
Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of trauma-informed care behavioral intervention and person-centered planning
- Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach develop and guide diverse teams
- Ability to remain calm compassionate and professional in high-stress situations
- Proficiency in electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of supervisory/management experience in the field of disability services.
- 2 years of experience working with individuals served in a licensed adult day program or an adult day health care facility (highly preferred).
- 3 years experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Willing and able to work directly alongside staff to support individuals served
- Skilled at building a strong team culture grounded in mutual respect consistency and support
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.
- Physicians clearance and TB test clearance.
- Able to life/transfer up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in human services field (Psychology Counseling Social Work Allied Health Educational Psychology Sociology Human Services etc.)
- Experience working with Regional Centers Community Care Licensing and knowledge of Title 22 and Title 17 regulations.
- Experience working in workshop-style programs or high-behavior environments
- Comfort and experience working with individuals who have forensic backgrounds
Hours:
- Full-time exempt position (40 hours per week).
- Schedule must have flexibility to accommodate program individual and staff needs
