Job Description
The Global Modernizations team plays a key role in supporting Konecranes frontline units worldwide by delivering engineered modernizations for bridge/Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) cranes. These solutions are built on Konecranes proven technology and expertise.
We are on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer - if youre passionate about engineering and eager to make a significant impact join our team!
This role is based in Hyvink Finland. To help you get off to a great start we encourage working from the office daily during the onboarding and learning phase. Once youre settled in there may be an opportunity to shift to a hybrid work model depending on the needs of the role and team.
Your key responsibilities
Your main task is to support our frontline sales units by creating technical solutions and pricing to fulfill our customers needs. You will be responsible for calculating and selecting motors gears inverters and other components communicating with suppliers and creating functional systems for crane modernizations.
Youll be working with products and customers from many different industrial segments such as Steel Mills Paper Mills Automotive Plants Power Plants etc.
Qualifications :
What should you bring
- Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- 2-5 years of experience working in mechanical engineering ideally with heavy hardware designing moving mechanical machines.
- Experience in mechanical and structural dimensioning component selection and finding solutions to mechanical challenges is a strong asset.
- Fluent Finnish and English; German skills are a plus.
- Customer service attitude we never let customers down.
- Readiness for occasional business travel.
Youll thrive in this role if youre a structured thinker who enjoys planning and organizing your work. A hands-on problem-solving mindset will be especially valuablewhether youre navigating older or less detailed technical documentation or troubleshooting unexpected challenges. Youre also comfortable working with colleagues who have varying levels of technical understanding and language skills.
