Join us as a Delinquent Tax Collection Assistant I
TheDepartment of Budget and Fiscal ServicesTreasury Divisionis looking for a Delinquent Tax Collection Assistant Ito collect governmental and non-governmental delinquent real property taxes and other delinquent fees and charges.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:At time of application you must be a citizen national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of public contact experience two of which shall have been in tax collection or similar activities which shall have involved the application and interpretation of laws rules regulations and procedures in collecting delinquent accounts or taxes or in determining tax liability.
Substitution:
An Associate degree in Business or Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field will substitute for the required general experience. There is no substitution for the two years of the specialized experience in tax collection or similar activities.
