Credit Controller Permanent Telford
Seymour John is working in partnership with a growing business based in Telford to recruit a dedicated Credit Controlleron a permanent basis. This is a vital role focused on managing the companys receivables maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting overall cash flow performance.
The Role:
As Credit Controller you will take ownership of the end-to-end credit control process ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong customer relationships. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Posting and allocating incoming payments accurately against customer accounts and invoices
- Contacting customers to resolve outstanding queries and secure prompt payment
- Proactively managing overdue accounts and following up on late payments via phone and email
- Producing regular cash flow forecasts and monitoring expected receipts
- Preparing and delivering monthly reports on aged debt collections performance and risk exposure
- Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies quickly and professionally
- Assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing clients and recommending appropriate credit limits
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve invoicing or account issues
- Maintaining compliance with credit policies and internal control procedures
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience in a Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant role
- A confident and professional communication style particularly when dealing with customers
- Ability to set up and manage payment plans where needed
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to quickly adapt to finance systems
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
