Teacher - Junior High Generalist and Other Duties as Assigned Probationary - August 25 2025 - June 25 2026

Frank Spragins is an Outreach high school we offer both on-campus and off-campus programming. This role will provide academic support and guidance for those students in the Jr. High School Program in both on and off campus. The successful candidate would need an understanding and experience with Jr. High curriculum and a passion for working with outreach students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education
- Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Experience with outreach education.
- Experience within Jr. high curriculum.
- Experience with Jr. and Sr. high is an asset.
- An ability to tailor an individualized curriculum along an outcomes-based/outcomes-developed continuum.
- An ability to develop implement and monitor IPPs for students with mild-moderate developmental disabilities that provide sequential learning and opportunities to integrate with same-age peers in different grades.
- Other goals for students include increasing independence enhancing self-esteem and improving social/interpersonal skills.
- Effective organizational skills and classroom management - Supervision and planning for Educational Assistants.
- An ability and commitment to work as a member of a team in a collaborative work environment.
- An ability to establish productive relationships with staff and parents.
- A commitment to the Assessment for Learning model.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training is an asset.

All candidates must hold an Alberta Teaching Certificate have knowledge of curriculum and teaching experience at those levels/subject areas and demonstrated interpersonal and classroom management skills
