Instructional Facilitator
Purpose:To assist in ensuring quality instruction by focusing on curriculum instruction and assessment. Support district and building school improvement efforts through the development of guiding documents and by providing professional developmentwith a specific focus on identified buildings.
Reports To:Director of Teaching & Learning
Salary: Based on Negotiated Agreement Salary Schedule
License Required:KSDE License Endorsement
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Kansas teaching licenses with proper endorsements.
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of three years successful experience in teaching and/or demonstration of qualifies consistent with a master teacher.
- Other alternatives as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist USD 453 in the development and implementation of instructional models that ensure high levels of student learning and provide clear expectations to district teachers with a specific focus onidentified buildings.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of the district curriculum.
- Assist in the development and implementation of district common assessments.
- Provides on-going job-embedded professional development at the building and district level.
- Provide support to teachers in the implementation of effective instructional models by developing and providing instructional guides and resource alignment documents.
- Provide support to teachers in meeting the needs of diverse learners.
- Assist teachers in instructional planning which provides effective instruction to students aligned to the district curriculum.
- Assist in the collection analysis and presentation of instructional data.
- Assist in developing processes and documents to effectively communicate and implement district-wide intervention structures and SIT team processes.
- Assist in developing processes and documents to ensure effective collaboration and goal setting for grade level teams and departments.
- Assist in the development of processes and documents that align instructional data to instructional practice.
- Assist in the organization maintenance and distribution of instructional materials.
- Assist in effective integration of instructional technology to increase student learning.
- Meet and collaborate regularly with building and district administration.
- Participate in professional development and specific trainings to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Provide research on best practice and communicate with other school districts to find exemplar practices.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
- Prolonged sitting or standing.
- Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Interact with staff and to meet demands from multiple people/departments.

- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor and in accordance with USD 453 Board of Education policies.

- Ability to use necessary district-identified computer hardware and software and other district-provided technology.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all segments of the school community
- Ability to lead group processes with small and large groups of learners at all ages.
- Ability to manage job responsibilities and to meet the established district outcomes.
- Ability to physically adapt to the compressed time schedule of a school day and year.
Contract Days: 186 plus extended contractdays.
