Performs diverse responsibilities within the area and limits of authority delegated by school principal. The individual in this position discharges duties in a way that is professional and represents the School District in a positive way and in accordance with District policies rules and regulations. This position is designed to relieve administrators of office and routine responsibilities by planning organizing coordinating office work as needed and participating in the school office administrative operations to support overall student staff and school AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Makes decisions independently or recommends action as appropriate regarding emergenciesPerforms a wide variety of office duties utilizing computers email websites filing processing and distributing correspondenceServes as liaison with other schools Central office community members and other pertinent information and direction to students parents staff visitors and community membersEstablishes maintains and ensures proper use and access to confidential filesComposes correspondence requiring knowledge of relevant policies and procedures of the school district or assigned areaAttends meetings as recorder and prepares minutesScreens correspondence and telephone calls for administrator and staffMaintains multiple appointment calendarsMakes arrangements for school visitations and facility useManages ordering or supplies for the school and creates purchase ordersMaintains school records accounts and budget information as assignedCompiles develops and designs reports handbooks newsletters and special projectsMaintains daily student/staff attendance/lunch countMaintains and retrieves student discipline dataGenerates and ensures the accuracy and punctuality of reports for state auditors and othersParticipates as a member of the Emergency Management TeamPerforms other position related tasks or services as may be assigned by the school PrincipalNote: The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires substantial use of upper extremities and back Fingering. Picking pinching typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and Feeling. Perceiving attributes of objects such as size shape temperature or texture by touching with skin particularly that of Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately loudly or Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations in Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists hands and/or work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
