Job Description

The Admissions department strives to create a welcoming environment for prospective and current students to ensure a smooth transition for students enrolling in the college.

The Undergraduate Application Processor maintains application records of incoming students (undergraduate regulars transfers dual enrollment and international students) which includes reviewing transcripts. The application process involves tracking all application materials creating and analyzing reports and communicating with students on all aspects of admissions. This position will ensure accurate timely and complete information is relayed to all prospective students regarding application to the institution including managing and overseeing recording documentation for incoming dual enrollment students into the student information and document storage systems and routing to other departments appropriately. This position requires independent prioritization of multiple time-sensitive projects.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week on the Rapids Campus in the Admissions department with some flexibility allowed for telework. Shift will consist of Monday-Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm. Hours and/or days may change during summer and non-class days.

Salary Range:

$21.90 -$29.65 hourly; $45727 - $61909 annually

Minimum Qualifications

  • Word processing skills to create edit and finalize a variety of documents that are grammatically correct in proper format and free of spelling errors.

  • Customer service skills to effectively interpret and explain admissions and enrollment policies and procedures to a variety of constituents.

  • Data entry skills to input data quickly and accurately.

  • Effectively use communication skills to interact with others (common courtesy tact interest in positive problem solving empathy and logical organization of ideas).

  • Spreadsheet skills to create and modify electronic spreadsheets and to compile store and retrieve data to prepare a variety of reports using software such as Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to analyze and make recommendations to management for new or revised administrative and program practices and procedures.

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in working with Dual Enrollment students or department.

  • Knowledge of college or other educational admissions placement and/or registration policies.

  • Experience working with ISRS PowerBI Excel and Database software (Access etc.) or similar software.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of private information according to law rules policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated commitment and success working in a diverse multi-cultural and multiracial community.
