Job Description

THE POSITION

Are you looking for a career in which you can utilize your accounting knowledge to work with fiscal budgeting fiscal invoices quality assurance and payroll management Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) may have the position for you! DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this professional fiscal and administrative position you will report to the Fiscal Administrator and support both fiscal and quality assurance while managing payroll for the agency. For administrative fiscal quality assurance your role will involve contracts and monitoring fiscal quality assurance related to cost share procedures and consumer or caregiver reimbursements as well as providing direct support to the Fiscal Administrator through agency outreach and fiscal-related administrative duties. In addition to managing payroll you will also handle time studies and employee benefits tracking. Your work will help our team have the funding we need to meet the local needs of the areas old adults. Achieve your professional goals and make a difference with us!


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or
  • One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelors degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
  • Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business related associates degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or
  • Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.
