POSITION SUMMARY
The National Director of Technical Training is a key role on STRIVEs Programs and Impact (PANDI) team responsible for managing and overseeing career technical training offered as part of STRIVEs 5-pillar program model. The successful candidate will possess an in-depth and current understanding of occupational skills training (OST) career pathway models instructional design and other instructional matters related to teaching and learning through in-person blended and online course delivery. This candidate will also demonstrate experience and expertise using a wide range of digital tools (including learning management systems) to track course offerings and to develop manage and deliver instructional materials. This candidate will work with program leaders across STRIVE operated sites to ensure a high-quality program is delivered to individuals enrolled in STRIVE programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employer Engagement: Work with STRIVE program leadership to assess talent demands and hiring needs of STRIVE employer partners and translate this info into the Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSA) required;
Program Development: In response to employer talent demand oversee program development and curriculum design for customized training models to be delivered to STRIVE students ensuring program offerings align across STRIVE sites;
Program Partnerships: Work with STRIVE programs to identify and select qualified OST trainers and training institutes within each STRIVE market securing service references and monitoring costs and course offerings;
Program Evaluation: Analyze curriculum learning objectives and instructional needs of STRIVE technical training ensuring they meeting program standards expectations key reflect key OST components;
Program Monitoring & Compliance: Maintain the STRIVE OST catalog and track programs information in alignment with Eligible Training Providers Lists (ETPL) standards for STRIVE locations;
Labor Market Analysis: Track the labor market and employer demand for industry recognized credentials offered through STRIVE programs ensuring these credentials are of high value or altering programs towards credentials that align more closely to leading industry standards;
Professional Development: Provide ongoing coaching to Program Directors across STRIVE sites on how to evaluate the quality of career pathway programming offered through STRIVE partnerships
Program Standardization: Support the implementation of comprehensive STRIVE-branded marketing for our career training programs and develop aligned program materials to support the full implementation and adoption of STRIVEs technical training;
Other: work in partnership with program leadership and the Program & Impact team to deliver on other duties and support special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree preferred or minimum of 5 years of work experience in program design development and execution of technical skills training or continuing education courses.
Experience in adult education; educational administration and/or full-time teaching a plus.
Knowledge and skill in the use of integrated software systems and Microsoft applications.
Strong time management and project management skills.
Superb oral and written communication skills with and entrepreneurial spirit.
Location: This position will be in-person a minimum of two days per week at STRIVE New Yorks office in East Harlem with limited travel outside of NY.
