Job Summary: As part of the Flora-Bama team the Facility Attendant plays a vital role in creating a clean safe and welcoming environment for our guests. This role involves both custodial and customer service tasks ensuring the property is in excellent condition while delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities include performing essential cleaning tasks such as taking out the trash cleaning restrooms and maintaining a secure and pleasant atmosphere for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed cleaning tasks including dusting wiping surfaces cleaning toilets emptying trash vacuuming sweeping and mopping throughout the facility.
Perform preventative maintenance and care of cleaning equipment following the operators manual.
Dispose of trash by lifting bags and empty boxes into designated dumpsters.
Ensure the security of the facility by locking doors and gates before and after operating hours.
Monitor facility grounds for cleanliness and maintain curb appeal through landscaping and ground maintenance.
Regularly check and clean bathrooms ensuring they are stocked and sanitized for guest use.
Engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner to create a positive atmosphere.
Ensure guests safety by monitoring entrances and exits ensuring proper compliance with Flora-Bamas entry protocols including identification checks and wristband/stamp verification.
Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas such as bars hallways bathrooms and parking lots including trash pickup and general upkeep.
Use de-escalation techniques to handle any guest-related issues keeping the environment calm and friendly.
Collaborate with other team members and management to address guest concerns and ensure a safe enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in a high-volume environment such as schools hospitals or restaurants is a plus.
Ability to multitask work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests peers and management.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
Ability to work in a warm/hot environment handling both outdoor and indoor tasks.
High school diploma required; experience in customer service law enforcement or military is a plus.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays. The average shift will be from 12pm-8pm
