Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated candidate Healthcare Assistant - HCA to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living in our Nursing Home based in Co Kildare.

No permit will be processing
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing dressing and grooming
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents ensuring they feel valued and cared for
- Assist with mobility and transferring residents safely promoting independence and maintaining a comfortable and homely environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each residents specific needs
- Document resident activities observations and any changes in condition to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among the care team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant is preferred but we also welcome applications from candidates with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in healthcare.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and health and safety standards.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in healthcare assistance are desirable but not essential.
